No Sim Card installed error in iPhone 4, how to fix

If you iPhone 4 shows “no Sim card installed” error, there are three easy fixes:

  1. The easiest is to to go settings-Airplance Mode, turn on the Airplane Mode and then turn it off. Usually, the Sim card should work.
  2. If this does not work, next is to power off the iPhone 4 and turn it on. Most of the time, the Sim card error will disappear.
  3. If both 1 and 2 do not work, then, take off the Sim card, and clean it using a dry cloth and put back in.  The iPhone 4 should work at this time, if not, take it to Apple store to fix.
