Sony Bravia KDL-40EX400 review

The Sony Bravia KDL-40EX400 is a budget LCD TV without Internet content.  The key features include Full HD 1080p resolution;  Ambient Sensor that adjusts color based on room light; LightSensor that adjusts backlight with room light; BRAVIA Engine 2 fully digital video processor; USB port for photos, music and video playback.

Samsung LN46C650 and LN46C630 comparisons

The Samsung LN46C650 is ca $150 more expensive than the LN46C630.  The major differences are:

  1. The LN46C650 has a Red Touch of Color design and the LN46C630 has a Charcoal Grey Touch of Color design.
  2. The LN46C650 has a higher dynamic contrast ratio of 150,000:1 comparing with the LN46C630 (dynamic contrast ratio 120,000:1).  The higher dynamic contrast ratio will give deeper black levels.
  3. The major difference is that the LN46C650 has Internet TV while the LN46C630 does not.

Samsung UN55C5000 review

Samsung UN55C5000 is a basic LED TV with full HD1080p resolution, 60Hz refresh rate in a slim design of 1.2″ deep.  The UN55C5000 does not have Internet TV but it does come with a LAN port and optional WiFi which allow for the  DLNA support.

Televisioninfo.com reviewed the UN40C5000, which is in the same series and has exact the same features except the screen size.

According to the review of Samsung UN40C5000:

“The performance was decidedly mixed, with great black levels and contrast ratio, but poor color temperature maintenance and general color performance…”

What is difference of Samsung LN46C670 and LN46C650?

The Samsung LN46C670 and the LN46C650 are almost identical except the Touch of Color design: the LN46C670 has the silver Touch of Color design and the LN46C650 has the red Touch of Color design.  The LNC670 series was made specially for Best Buy and only has two models: the LN46C670 and the LN40C670.  But the LNC650 series has three models: the LN55C650, LN46C650 and the LN40C650.  Other than that, both 670 and 650 series have the exact  same features such as  web-connected Samsung Apps, Auto Motion Plus 120Hz refresh rate, a 150,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and AllShare which can sync multiple devices.

Sony Bravia 55EX500

The Sony 55EX500 is a basic LCD TV with full 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and some energy saving features such as ambient sensor and light sensor technology.
